One man to unite the peoples of French Guyana ?

Apart from our colonial past, Caribbean people have still not created a lasting bond with the original inhabitants of their territories. In French Guyana, it was Félix TIOUKA who took it upon himself to address this issue at the end of the 20th century. President of the Association of the Amerindians of French Guyana and member of the working group on the Kalina language and culture, Félix addressed the French people in 1984 with a powerful speech that changed the course of things. Since then, French Guyana has witnessed the awakening of a minority nation and the first alliances between indigenous people of Kalina cultures (Surinam, Brazil, Costa Rica) that are now recognized internationally.

Will recognition of indigenous peoples make it possible to protect them in the face of globalization? Perhaps this is the continuation of the fight of Félix Tiouka ?
